Chat — ArchitectPurple AI
Route: /chatPurpose: Natural language AI assistant that routes queries to the right tool automatically
What you can ask
ArchitectPurple understands architectural intent. Examples:
Design queries:
- "Audit my floor plan for fire escape compliance in the UK"
- "Generate a room programme for a 3-bed apartment, total 95sqm"
- "What passive solar strategies work for a south London site?"
Technical queries:
- "What is the typical floor-to-floor height for a residential tower with raised floors?"
- "Explain the difference between LOD 300 and LOD 400 in IFC terms"
- "What are the Part M requirements for accessible entrance ramps?"
Project queries (with Project ID set):
- "What elements have been created for this project?"
- "Summarise the current project stage and recent decisions"
- "What algorithms have been run and what did they find?"
Setting a Project ID
In the top-right input field, paste your Project ID (e.g. RES-SMITHCO-2026-001). When set:
- Responses are scoped to your project
- The AI has context about your project stage, brief, and elements
- Chat runs are automatically logged in your project's activity
Understanding responses
Each response shows:
- Main answer — the AI's response or tool output
- Tool used badge — which tool was called (e.g.
floor-plan-audit,site-analysis) - Project stage badge — current lifecycle stage of the project
- Suggested next steps — algorithm or action suggestions
Best practices
- Be specific: Include building type, number of storeys, location, and purpose
- Jurisdiction matters: Say "UK" or "Dubai" — compliance rules differ significantly
- Iterate: Follow-up questions work well; the conversation is stateful within a session
- Paste GIS results: Copy outputs from the GIS page into chat for richer contextual analysis
- Start a project first: Set a Project ID before asking project-specific questions — the AI will tell you if context is missing
