AI Visualization & Render Farm
Route: /render
Purpose: Transform early-stage diagrammatic massing and detailed BIM geometry into photorealistic, presentation-ready architectural imagery instantly.
Purple8 AI Architect eliminates the need to export your model into standalone rendering packages (like Enscape, Lumion, or V-Ray). Using integrated multi-modal AI diffusion techniques and our scalable cloud Render Farm, visualisations are generated natively as your graph evolves.
1. AI-Driven Visualisation (Render-from-Graph)
You don't need a fully detailed, materialised model to get a high-quality render. Purple8's visual AI acts as your digital artist, taking spatial intent and projecting photorealism atop massing.
Massing-to-Render (ControlNet Integration)
- Action: Select a simple grey-box layout or massing in the BIM Viewport.
- Prompt: Describe the desired look and feel in plain text: "A sustainable timber-clad community centre with expansive glass, warm evening sunset, surrounded by dense pine trees, hero shot."
- Output: The Visualisation engine preserves the exact structural silhouettes, window voids, and scaling proportions from the graph, wrapping it in photorealistic materials and atmospheric lighting.
Iterative Style Transfer
- Not sure about the materiality? Quickly generate 5-10 variations.
- Swap from "Brutalist concrete and corten steel" to "Warm Mediterranean stucco and terracotta" using the same underlying massing constraint.
Render Iterations tied to the Journey
- Each generated render is saved as a discrete
documentnode (subtyperender), linked via anillustratesedge directly back to the relevantspaceorsitenode. - Journey captures the timeline, giving stakeholders a direct visual history of the design evolution.
2. Integrated Cloud Render Farm
When the project reaches Stage 4 (Technical Design) and materials are explicitly assigned in the graph, Purple8's distributed GPU Render Farm takes over for physically accurate outputs.
Ray-Traced Path Rendering
- For high-fidelity lighting, physical caustics, and exact daylight factor visualisation based on assigned material U-values and transmittance.
- Queueing: Hit Send to Render Farm. Your job enters the tenant's distributed queue rather than locking up your local machine.
Batch processing & Viewpoints
- Define multiple camera targets in the BIM Viewport.
- Batch render an entire visual package (e.g., Exterior Hero, Interior Lobby, Courtyard dusk, Bird's eye context) concurrently using cloud GPU resources.
- Get notified via the platform notifications when the high-resolution files (up to 8K) finish baking.
3. Direct Visualization Tools
Complementing the still imagery are tools designed for immersive client presentation:
360° Panoramas & VR
- Render stereoscopic 360-degree panoramas directly from the centre point of any
spacenode. - Generated links are instantly viewable on mobile devices or VR headsets (Meta Quest/Apple Vision Pro) for immersive client walkthroughs.
Material AI Upscaling
- Got a low-res image of a custom brick or fabric from a supplier?
- The platform uses AI to automatically upscale the texture to 4K and generates seamless displacement, normal, and roughness maps to inject directly into the graph's
materialproperties for accurate rendering.
